For this exercise, we explored textual programming in order to create generative art. Through a process of discovery and play, coding became the medium to explore logical chaos, attempting to replicate nature’s own unpredictability. Simulating the behavior of particle systems, we created what seems like an everflowing, cloth-like texture, where two colored sets of particles blend and interact as they wish.

This project mainly focused on educating the next generations into sustainable rituals. We narrowed our focus to one of the most wasteful environments for children: schools. Here we defined an opportunity for up cycling school supply waste through a set of playful kits, thus gamifying this sustainable habit. The young user can then experience the entire recycling process of their own waste, learning how to collect and repurpose these materials for their overall training on circular practices.

Sustainable Product Design for Home Interiors
Designed for MUJI.
In collaboration with Carla Rotenberg &#38;amp; Jose Ramón Vega
Hoshi (Japanese for star) is a modular noise cancelling system designed for the Japanese brand MUJI. It was inspired by the best toy in the world: a brick. A simple shape that could be transformed into anything the user’s imagination desired. 


The user can integrate Hoshi as they wish: a toy, coat hanger, lamp shade, room divider… The possibilities are endless.

Hoshi was designed for small interiors, as people increasingly have to adapt to less space in densely populated, urban areas. Two issues were tackled: an over abundance of single purpose products and an increasing noise pollution.

	Exploring Platonic solid structures led to a simple shape with which complex structures could be built. 
The materials are felt, thread and metal buttons, making it recyclable and zero waste: the excess felt is integrated as fillerfor additional noise cancelling.

	/formosa airlines

This project consisted on the design of the visual identity for the national airline of our own, fictional country: Ping-Heng (originally the city of Taipei). 


Our brand idea was derived from our country’s ideated essence: the duality between tradition and innovation. The warmth of tradition, as expressed through the color red, is complemented by the cool, blue expression of technology. These two sides are then unified under a single, neutral typeface: Hiragino Kaku Gothic Pro. 


Additionally, the repeated use of the symbol of the circle draws inspiration from the Ying and Yang in expressing the unity between two halves of the same whole. 


This is how Formosa Airlines came to be, named in homage to the heritage of the region.

“Seeing the Unseen” is the second issue to a series of publications under Rusttt, a magazine design project. 


The concept of this issue was born from a black and white, film photograph displaying a crafts market, where the key essence lied on the overlay of unrecognizable elements, blurred by the depth of field. 
The visual ambiguity of the scene was then expressed throughout the issue through the use of perspective, depth and layering.

//Experience Design &#38;amp; Temporary Architecture

In collaboration with Carla Rotenberg

	
In a workshop led by architect Sam Chermayeff, we designed a temporary sauna from found, leftover materials, building from and for the surrounding environment. 

Stripping down the “sauna” concept to its essence, the result becomes a metal frame with a transparent exterior, allowing it to blend into the surroundings while creating an immersive experience. Exploring the tension between public and private, visitors are forced to share a tight, skin-to-skin space, erasing personal boundaries while remaining in full view.

	/The Experience
	Bathers go into the sauna through a fold in the tarp, closed shut with the help of a metal clip. Inside the tight space, four wooden stools are waiting to be occupied. &#38;nbsp;

Meanwhile, a stack of medium sized rocks are heated in a large fire nearby.&#38;nbsp; After reaching sizzling temperature, these are carefully carried and rolled onto a pit inside the tent. The pit’s entrance is covered to stop the heat from escaping. Finally, bathers can pour water infused with essential oils onto the rocks, allowing the burning, scented vapor to fill the space.&#38;nbsp;

Under the guidance of architect Igor Bragado, we explored &#38;amp; analyzed the Counterfeit Sex Toy industry in Madrid. Taking on a systemic approach, we mapped the context in which it operates: from its supply chain, online industry and health hazards, to brand protection agencies and sex toy hacking scenarios.&#38;nbsp;


We then ideated a spatial proposal intervening at various points of the system; a sex toy concept store with an integrated lab to dissect, protect and recycle counterfeit toys, in addition to warning about the dangers of sex toy hacking.

	STORE DESIGN:
 
In the space,&#38;nbsp; all floors become connected through a system of semitransparent textile conducts: they serve as windows, display shelves and transportation tubes. The textile is practical as well as metaphorical, bringing intimacy to a public space.

Nowadays, we have increasingly come to view globalisation as a homogenising force threatening cultural diversity. However, this is mainly due to a global effort equating globalisation with capitalism, mistakenly portraying globalisation as a modern phenomena solely related with the expansion and consequences of trade. Yet in viewing “culture” as a stagnant entity to be protected from these forces one only rejects history’s nature. 
Delving into the discourse of culture vs. globalisation, “De Paso” aims to reclaim the latter’s true value: its ability to enrich culture, not destroy it, through the free movement and exchange of people and knowledge. I believe that, by embracing the cultural hybridity continuously underlying our history, we’ll be best able to create new value in today’s highly globalised world. In Spain, this hybridity has been consistently denied throughout time. Through processes like that of de-africanisation, we have institutionally rejected important minorities and their influence on Spain’s identity, resulting in a collective ignorance that reinforces established cliches and increases polarisation, xenophobia and scepticism towards these groups.

Madrid based city route highlighting overlooked influences, varying from historical figures and objects to festivities or even ways of life. The route is composed by 9 stops, equivalent to 9 icons within Spanish culture, each marked by a red, scannable stamp.

	Upon scanning the stamp, the user is taken to an Augmented Reality app experience, where they can access and navigate a 360º collaged scene revealing the story behind  the given icon, being able to interact with the scene’s elements to discover further details.

Led a Futures Design process, conceptualised Future Narratives, managed project execution.


As BBVA’s Future Designers VI collective, we were invited to participate in the 2024 Mayrit Biennale, as part of a speculative design expo dealing with the future of relationships.


Taking a Futures Design approach, we conducted an in-depth Trend Research &#38;amp; Analysis, later extrapolating our findings into a Future Scenario where other non-human entities begin to socially integrate themselves into our lives.&#38;nbsp; This scenario was then materialized into an immersive experience where visitors explore a shared space with nature, enabling a dialogue between both where mutual consent defines all interaction.

	/The Approach
After gathering more than 150 change signals, we defined a series of macro-trends that manifested a general longing for connection (stemming from the loneliness epidemic), and a consequent effort to communicate and establish “relationships” with other non-human entities.

	/The Result


	During the implementation phase, I coordinated the work of our suppliers, architects, technicians and Mayrit curators to develop the installation on-site, adapting it to the means and time available.
The result is a commanding space tightly filled with plants, where, through the use of sensors, visitors’ actions trigger a series of light and sound reactions, simulating 
a conversation between human and plant.Additionally, a set of “Rules of consent”, are repeatedly announced over speakers, allowing nature to ultimately guide human movement within the space.
